We are proposing to offer a blended learning version of the traditional classroom course, which comprises an eLearning element (typically the knowledge-based competences) as prerequisite for the practical classroom element (typically the skills-based competences).
This should allow us to focus on the development of the practical skills in the classroom and give the participants more opportunity to develop their problem-solving skills.
- Any trainers delivering classroom-based courses would receive a teaching day rate. The day rate depends on who is setting up the course:
- GeoLumina Commissioned Course: If GeoLumina set up the course following a direct enquiry from a client or a third party training service provider (e.g. PetroEdge, Robertson, IEMS – see below), the day rate would typically be around 750 GBP. In this case the GeoLumina management team would:
- Negotiate the terms of the course delivery with the client.
- Organise travel, accommodation and subsistence for the trainer
- Coordinate the production of any training materials required for the classroom.
- Organise the provision of any hardware or software required for the classroom
- Geolumina aims to gather a selection of tablets, laptops and software licences for classroom use.
- Organise transport of all training materials to the classroom.
- Handle all administration with the client, such as submitting costed proposal, obtaining Purchase Order, invoicing the client, ensuring timely payment from the client and paying related suppliers. Payment terms to be agreed on a per client basis.
- Brand the training materials as GeoLumina, and acknowledge each respective contributor who retains the IP for their own materials.
- Trainer Commissioned Course: Trainers pursue their own enquiries received through their own networks. In this case the trainer would:
- Negotiate the terms of the course delivery directly with the client, including:
- Trainer’s day rate
- Fee for the use of modular GeoLumina eLearning training resource (trainee registration to each module)
- Organise travel, accommodation and subsistence for themselves
- Coordinate the production of any training materials required for the classroom.
- Organise the provision of any hardware or software required for the classroom.
- Organise transport of all training materials to the classroom.
- Handle all administration with the client, such as submitting costed proposal, obtaining Purchase Order, invoicing the client, ensuring timely payment from the client and paying related suppliers. Payment terms to be agreed on a per client basis.
- Brand the training materials in their name/company. However, if GeoLumina training resources are used, both GeoLumina and the relevant contributors should be acknowledged.
