Oil Industry Life Cycle

This is an example of a business process map built with the free business process modelling software Bizagi Modeller. Mapping your processes is a sure way to help you understand what you are doing and why, and also to ensure consistency across your organisation. The process model also provides a location to capture your learning and experience, whoever has the experience. If everybody contributes to construction and description of the process model, then you truly become a learning organisation.

This particular Oil Industry Life Cycle process map has been created to help us understand where the wide range of disciplines fit in to the petroleum industry workflow.  It i  another work in progress and there are clearly other ways of mapping the processes.  The key is to have a go yourself, and learn by doing so.  Creating the process amp  helps you to understand the what, why and how of the process.  (Hint:  Use ctrl_shift_+ in your Browser to magnify the flow charts if they are too small).
