The chateau at St Jean de Cole

A delightful “Beau Village” on the northern boundary of the Aquitaine Basin.  The lower Jurassic sandstones are lying directly on highly deformed basement, including serpentinites.  The village itself features a lovely church and chateau, with a wide cobbled main street leading to the the picturesque cobbled bridge by the mill.  Idyllic.
